La La Land Poster Updated for 10 Year Anniversary; Ryan Gosling Now Able To Sleep At Night

    – Somehow, it has been a decade since La La Land was released (which means next Oscars will mark the ten year anniversary of that whole Best Picture incident and this reaction); to celebrate, the film will be returning to select cinemas in August.

    – To mark the occasion, Lionsgate has updated the poster to make one small change, thus ending a decade-long nightmare for Ryan Gosling.

    – For context, when asked if he would ever want to redo a role, Ryan brought up La La Hand, per
Rolling Stone: There is a moment that haunts me. We’re dancing, Emma [Stone] and I, and I didn’t know this would become the poster for the movie. We were supposed to have our hands up, and I thought it would be cool to put my hand [more flat] even though everyone told me it wasn’t cool. I was sure it was cooler. (OP note: I always thought it worked to show that Mia and Seb were out of sync in life, but I’m not the one having to look at myself on a poster all the damn time for one of my biggest movies, so…)

    – Turns out, being super bummed about something can result in change, if you talk about it enough and are Ryan Gosling, a man otherwise not known for making a fuss (and if it works as good content to promote an upcoming 10 year anniversary release. . .)

    – This is not the first time Ryan has tried to fix La La Hand – he was seen with Eridian hearthrob Rocky acting out a new version of the poster earlier this year during the Project Hail Mary press tour; see below:

Have you ever done something you thought was cool and then spent the next ten years in a shame spiral, ONTD?
