Priscilla Presley did a speaking event with her son Navarone Garibaldi Garcia (why???), in Las Vegas over the weekend and got honest about the current family dynamic after daughter Lisa Marie’s sudden death in January 2023. Despite contesting Lisa Marie’s will removing her and putting daughter Riley Keough in charge of the estate, Priscilla has always insisted the family has been close (note: according to a leaked email from Riley to Priscilla, Priscilla and Lisa Marie were estranged when Lisa Marie died).
• “It’s kind of separated us in a way,” Priscilla admitted. “You know, we would get together and have meals and have family.” She also noted Lisa Marie’s youngest, twins Harper and Finley, are about to turn 18 and are busy with their boyfriends.
• Navarone, however, thinks the family divide happened after the suicide of Lisa Marie’s son Benjamin in 2020. “When you would think that would be something that should bring everybody together, that somehow separated us further, because everybody grieves in different ways, and everybody […] put blame on somebody in different ways, and just felt different ways about it.” Navarone added that he believed Lisa Marie’s death brought everyone closer together and they’ve let go off those bad feelings.
