Facing her health struggles head on. Khloé Kardashian has been candid about the medical scares she’s dealt with throughout the years.
In October 2022, the Kardashians star revealed that she had an “incredibly rare” tumor removed from her face.
“I have seen numerous stories going around about the ever-evolving bandage on my face, with some of you wondering why I’ve been wearing one for the past few weeks. After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realizing it was not budging,” the Good American cofounder shared via her Instagram Stories at the time. Doctors told Kardashian, then 38, that “what they both were seeing was incredibly rare” for someone her age.
“A few days later I was told I need to have an immediate operation to remove a tumor from my face,” she shared with fans, adding that while the surgeon was “able to get everything,” she needed to keep the bandage on to protect her visage.
“You’ll continue to see my bandages and when I’m allowed, you’ll probably see a scar (and an indention in my cheek from the tumor being removed) but until then I hope you enjoy how fabulous I’m making these face bandages look,” she added.
Kardashian has suffered from multiple health woes throughout the years, including a staph infection in 2015. The Strong Looks Better Naked author opened up about the scary diagnosis in November of that year amid taking care of ex-husband Lamar Odom, who suffered a near-fatal overdose one month prior.
“Staph infection is no joke. Mine was exacerbated by stress which is not a great combo,” she tweeted at the time. “I’m under great medical care & receiving tons of love!”
While the Kocktails With Khloé alum been enormously successful in her career as an A-list reality star and fashion designer, she’s also been prone to frequent migraines that have affected her daily life.
“I wish people understood how debilitating migraines can be. I get so frustrated when people tell me to push through and it’s just a bad headache. if only they knew!! That feeling is torturous and indescribable. I can’t believe I left home without my migraine medication,” she wrote via Twitter in August 2021.
She explained that she “had to push back a meeting due to my migraine” — but no one seemed to understand. “When I apologized and explained why I couldn’t make it earlier, everyone sort of rolled their eyes.”
