Carrie Underwood says her judging career on American Idol is the “polar opposite” of life on the farm!

The 43-year-old Grammy winner and former American Idol winner moved to a sprawling 400-acre “self-sustained” farm in Franklin, Tenn. with husband Mike Fisher and their sons, Isaiah, 11, and Jacob, 7.

Speaking to Us Weekly during this week’s Taylor Swift night, Carrie said she loves farm life because “it’s a challenge, and it’s frustrating, and it’s exciting, and it’s rewarding, and just all the things.”

She also joked that when she goes away to work she’s like “Cinderella at the ball,” a “princess,” but then she goes home and it’s much different.

“And then I come home, and I’m like, covered in dirt. I’m covered in poop. It’s just the polar opposite. I’m like, cleaning up after everybody and barefoot in the kitchen. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Carrie has shared farm life updates on her Instagram in the past.

Back in March, she shared a cute video of a baby sheep named Maggie learning how to drink from a bottle.

Last November, she posted pics holding some giant tromboncino squash she grew.

“Pardon my sweatpants, but I had to show off these tromboncino squash! I’ve got 5 of these babies! Woo hoo! We’ll be eating these all winter” the “Before He Cheats” singer wrote in the caption.

Earlier this month, Carrie dressed up as Belle for a glamorous Disney night on the singing competition show!
