George Russell and Carmen Montero Mundt are engaged!
The 28-year-old Formula 1 driver and the 28-year-old Barriers skincare brand co-founder shared the big news on Sunday (August 9).
In a joint post on Instagram, the couple revealed photos from their engagement, with George simply captioning the post with a ring emoji and a white heart emoji. Check it out below!
As seen in the photos, George proposed in a romantic seaside setting with an oval yellow diamond ring.
George and Carmen have been dating since 2020, after being introduced by a mutual friend. She can often be seen alongside him at F1 race weekends!
Carmen works in finance, and earlier this year, she co-founded the skincare brand Barriers.
George has been driving for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team since 2022. Before that, he drove for Williams from 2019 to 2021.
Formula 1 is currently in the midst of its summer break, and George has won two races this season so far – the opening race in Australia and once again in Austria in late June. He currently sits in third place in the drivers’ championship with 160 points, behind his former teammate Lewis Hamilton in second and his current teammate Kimi Antonelli in first.
F1 will resume later this month with the Dutch Grand Prix.
