Madonna‘s missing Coachella outfit may have fallen off a golf cart.

    Madonna’s Coachella costume is missing

The 67-year-old pop superstar took to the stage for a surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California on Friday (17.04.26) wearing a purple corset with a jacket and knee-high boots from her own archive, but she later revealed the outfit had disappeared after the show.

In a new update on Tuesday (21.04.26) police in Indio told ABC News that Madonna‘s representative had filed a missing property report for two bags containing clothing and jewellery, which had last been seen on a golf cart within the grounds of the festival.

Staff had driven the cart to a bus but when they arrived at a hotel, it emerged the bags were missing.

Police’s preliminary investigation found the cart had been driven on a dark, bumpy road and suggested the bags had fallen out during the journey, rather than deliberately taken.

Their report stated: “There is no evidence to suggest the bags were intentionally stolen.”

Madonna had previously taken to Instagram to express her hope that “some kind soul” would find and return the treasured costume pieces.

In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “Still flying high since Friday night at Coachella! Thank you to Sabrina and everyone who made it possible …

“This full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing – my costume that was pulled from my personal archives – jacket, corset, dress and all other garments. These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history.

“Other archival items from the same era went missing as well. I’m hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items and reach out to my team … “

Madonna went on to add: “I’m offering a reward for their safe return. Thank you with all My Heart.”

The singe appeared on stage while Sabrina, 26, was singing Juno, appearing during the lyric “Have you ever tried this one?”

The song then cut to Madonna’s Vogue, which the pair sang together, along with Like A Prayer and a new track, which is believed to be from Madonna’s upcoming Confessions II.

After the performance, Madonna thanked Sabrina for the collaboration, saying: “Sabrina, thank you so much for inviting me on your show,” and Sabrina replied: “No thanks needed, Madonna. You can have whatever you want.”

Madonna went on to reminisce about her last performance at Coachella, two decades ago.

She said: “I have a few things I wanna get off my chest. 20 years ago today, I performed at Coachella. I was in the dance tent, and it was the first time I performed, Confessions on the Dance Floor Part One in America.

“And that was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later in the same boots, the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, the same Gucci jacket. So, it’s like a full circle moment, very meaningful for me.

“So in all circumstances for the rest of the month, let’s try to get along, okay? And to that point, the great thing about music is that it brings people together, am I right? It’s the one place that people have to put their differences aside, put their s*** down, and just everybody have a good time together, right?

“So I am thrilled to be a part of that healing experience, bringing people together.”
