    • Shortcut Dough: Skip making dough from scratch and use thawed frozen dinner rolls. Flatten each roll to about ¼-inch thick, then layer with Parmesan and everything bagel seasoning.
    • Preferred Yeast: You can use active dry yeast instead of instant yeast. Proof it in the warm water and sugar first, and allow a little extra time for the dough to rise.
    • Serving Idea: Serve the bread warm with herbed cream cheese mixture for that classic everything bagel flavor.

How to Make Everything Bagel Pull Apart Bread

This everything bagel pull apart bread looks impressive, but it’s actually really simple to make! If you’ve made my homemade bread or dinner rolls before, the dough will feel familiar. Just let it rise, roll it out, stack and bake.

    1. Make the Dough: Add the warm water, instant yeast, sugar, olive oil, salt, flour, and half of the everything bagel seasoning to the bowl of a stand mixer. Knead with the dough hook for about 5 minutes, or until a smooth dough forms. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and cover it with plastic wrap or a damp towel. Let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
    2. Roll and Add Cheese: Punch down the dough and place it on a lightly floured surface. Roll it into a large rectangle about ¼-inch thick. Sprinkle the Parmesan evenly over the dough, then gently press it in.
    3. Cut and Stack: Cut the dough into 3 even strips and stack them on top of each other. Cut the stack into 6 sections, so you have 6 stacks with 3 layers each.
    4. Second Rise: Place the stacks upright in a greased 8.5 x 4.5-inch loaf pan. Sprinkle the remaining everything bagel seasoning on top. Let the loaf rise for about 30 minutes while the oven preheats to 350°F. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the everything bagel pull-apart bread is golden brown on top.

    Alyssa’s Pro Tip

Watch the Rise: Rise times can vary depending on the temperature of your kitchen. Focus on the dough doubling in size rather than watching the clock.
