It’s been months since Southern Hospitality season four ended and there’s still been no official update on the show.
The Bravo reality series “follows the lives of a tight-knit group of friends living and working together in Charleston, S.C.,” primarily at former Southern Charm star Leva Bonaparte‘s Republic Garden and Lounge.
Throughout the past four seasons, a few cast members have come and gone, and some have been fired from the bar, but remained on the show’s cast.
While the show typically films in the summer months, that did not happen this year. Several cast members also have left Republic, leading to speculation on what the future of the show will look like.
So, is Southern Hospitality returning?

Southern Hospitality is not renewed yet, but cast members are hopeful
While the show has not been renewed, at the time of this post, several cast members have spoken out about the future of the show. There are also rumors about some major changes.
“The cameras have not been rolling but the vibe is we’re in a better place than where we were,” Bradley Carter told Us Weekly in August.
“I feel like the cast is coming together,” he added. “Some people are still on the outside and some are on the inside. Hopefully we get a season 5 so you can find out.”
Bradley didn’t disclose any other details, but said fans should be “hopeful” for a return.
“I think we should be hopeful,” he shared. “I can say that. I definitely think we should be hopeful. I think that there’s a lot more going on than you guys know. I cannot confirm this season 5, but I’m not going to say that it’s off the table.”
“We have a lot going on in Charleston, and hopefully you guys can smell this.”
DJ Maddi Reese and Michols Pena also talked about the future of the show while recently attending the Page Six Virtual Reali-Tea Awards.
“I feel like since we’re not at Republic anymore, it would kind of be looking at a different direction of our lives and what we’re doing outside of that,” Maddi told Page Six on the carpet. “At the end of the day, we all have things that are going on, and we’re all growing and starting new chapters. I’ve worked at Republic since I was 19, so 10 years of my life, and I just feel like there’s time to grow and to enter new chapters.”
“I feel the same,” Michols added. “Like, for me, I’ve done my life for six years so I’m like, it’s time to put the bottle down. But yeah, I’m happy. I’m excited for everybody to see if we happen to come back.”

What are the rumors about Southern Hospitality?
Over the summer, a rumored spread that Leva Bonaparte, who is also an executive producer on the show, is out and it won’t be filming at Republic anymore.
This comes after a falling out with cast members Joe Bradley and TJ Dinch, who are among those who left her bar.
After being turned down for opportunities to grow within Leva’s businesses in season four, Joe announced in July that he had joined the Uptown Hospitality Group, a rival hospitality company, and would focus on their venue, Share House. He’ll also work across Uptown’s other locations in the city, including The Waverly and By the Way, which are Craig Conover and Austen Kroll‘s joint business ventures.
TJ left to expand his Sir Wieners business as he looks to open a brick-and-mortar store.
