Victoria’s Secret has been revealing the cast for its upcoming fashion show. However, fans are not happy that it reportedly includes several influencers and that some former VS models were rejected. Former Angels Romee Strijd and Lais Ribero confirmed that the show declined to cast them this year.
Dutch model Romee Strijd, 31, posted a TikTok explaining that she auditioned for the show, but they decided they thought she “looked great” but “wouldn’t fit in the show this year.” Strijd was a Victoria’s Secret “Angel” — a designation for elite, contracted spokesmodels for the brand — from 2014 to 2018. Norwegian model Frida Aasen, also 31, confirmed in a TikTok comment that she was not cast, either. Aasen walked for the show in 2017 and 2018.
Social media rumors are floating around that Lais Ribeiro was also cut.
