Republican lawmakers Rich McCormick and Beth Van Duyne have ended their romantic relationship after two years of dating.
McCormick, a 58-year-old congressman from Georgia, and Van Duyne, a 55-year-old congresswoman from Texas, started dating in 2024. News of their relationship came right after McCormick announced his divorce from his wife of 12 years, with some speculation that there was an affair.
Now, TMZ reports that they “called it quits” and “there’s no bad blood between the two.”

McCormick confirmed the breakup in a statement to TMZ.
“I have a great relationship with her and will continue to strive to be the best friend I can be,” he said.
Van Duyne has not yet spoken out about the end of their relationship.
Van Duyne confirmed their relationship back in 2024
Back in 2024, Van Duyne confirmed their relationship after McCormick filed for divorce from his wife at the time.
She told The Daily Mail, “His marriage has been over for quite some time, as I understand it. He’s filed for divorce. I’m single. We’re both parents of adult children and empty nesters. We are happily engaged in a relationship, and beyond that, it’s a personal issue.”
