After 87 days in the Big Brother house, a winner was determined live on Thursday.
With a vote of 6-1, Survivor-alum Rick Devens won the season and $750k over runner-up Taylor Brown (who netted $75k). Devens and Brown competed in the final HoH against each other wherein he was victorious and shockingly cut Drew Campbell, his closest ally and tv son in the house, thanks to an 11th hour pitch from Brown.
Devens also went on to win AFP, the second winner to achieve such a distinction since BB24’s winner Taylor Hale. Thanks to an additional 10k he banked from a challenge in the house, he is the biggest prize winner in US Big Brother history at $810k.
Though the finale was rushed, we still got to momentarily hear from some of the pre-jurors. Notably Jason De Puy, who was eliminated third and got to reveal that he is Salina (EsTitties) of Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
Also the show got renewed for two more seasons, the first time in a long time that a multi-season pickup has been announced.
