-EW gives their top 10 reboots that just never needed to happen
-Here are 4 out of said 10:
- 7. Charmed – they dont see it as amazing, just a pleasantly diverting YA fantasy drama but their biggest issue with it is the OG cast/writers/fans not understanding what a reboot is…..so for that they believe it is unnecessary. The show lasted for 4 seasons and saw the oldest sister get killed off in Season 3 just like the OG.
- 6. Charlies Angels (2011) – The show lacked any fun that the original and movies managed to capture. Not to mention that Charlie took three law enforcement women and made them into detectives but the reboot flips that on its head and instead has Charlie take 3 criminals under his wing and make them into investigators investigating kidnappings and trafficking rings.
- 5. Melrose Place – One of the few CW shows to get cancelled after 1 season, the reboot saw them bring back fan fave Sydney back from the death only to kill her off yet again within the first 5 minutes of the premiere. The cast lacked chemistry and the show wasnt able to live up to the insane watercooler moments of the OG.
- 4. Knight Rider – A man has a talking car…that isnt a transformer. Even for 2008 the idea was just to campy yet the show attempted to take it very seriously.
