Zahara Jolie has officially changed her last name.
A judge approved the 21-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s petition to legally remove “Pitt” from her name on Monday (September 28).
She will now legally go by Zahara Marley Jolie, according to court records obtained by People.
When Did Zahara File to Change Her Name?
Zahara filed to remove “Pitt” from her last name earlier this year.
Her petition was filed in June and dated back to April 28. She later completed California’s legal notice requirement by publishing notice of the requested name change in the Los Angeles Daily Journal.
She had already been publicly using Zahara Marley Jolie before the change became official.
She introduced herself using that name while joining Alpha Kappa Alpha at Spelman College in 2023 and was also announced as Zahara Marley Jolie at her college graduation earlier this year.

Zahara is now the third of Angelina and Brad‘s six children to legally drop “Pitt” from their last name.
Shiloh Jolie had her name change granted in 2024, while Maddox Jolie officially dropped “Pitt” earlier this month.
Their younger sister Vivienne Jolie-Pitt has also filed to change her legal name to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie, with her hearing scheduled for November 2.
Angelina and Brad also share sons Pax and Knox.
