Shawn Hatosy talks about growing up as a musical theater kid in Maryland despite not being able to sing or dance (Rosie notes that she never let her lack of singing or dancing skills stand in the way of her love of musical theater because “enthusiasm counts”).
He says that Animal Kingdom fans still call him Pope and that he is always willing to take selfies with fans, but he mistakenly assumed a group of girls in his hotel lobby wanted a picture with him (they actually wanted him to take a picture FOR them, not WITH them). He says going back to acting class during the writers’ strike reminded him why he started acting as a kid and reignited his passion for acting, and he was cast on The Pitt right afterward.
When he won an Emmy for S1 of The Pitt, he was so excited that Ron Howard was the one who presented his category because he grew up watching him on The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days.
