-The controversial film ‘The Odyssey’ is set to have the best North American box office debut to date with $120.5M after Friday/previews of $51.2M.
-Despite the trailer getting review bombed and racists/transphobics attempting to get people to skip the film, The Odyssey is set to make $137.3M overseas bringing its global opening to $257.8M, right behind child friendly Super Mario Galaxy Movie ($372.5M) and Toy Story 5 ($312M).
-The film has also opened to a 95% RT score with over 200 reviews.
-Among all of the troll hate for the newest Odyssey, people have forgotten about the tv film from 1997 that starred Vanessa Williams as Calypso and featured a diverse background cast
