Joy Behar is not impressed that New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart attended a recent rally with President Donald Trump.

“For somebody to back a guy like Trump, whose history of discrimination and racism goes back to housing discrimination in the ’70s, DEI attacks and posting pictures of the Obamas as apes — when he’s on a team that’s 55 percent or 60 percent of the NFL, that much percentage of Black people,” Behar, 83, shared on the Tuesday, May 26, episode of The View. “That is just the definition of stupidity and racist in my opinion.”

Before kicking off Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 22, Dart, 23, attended a campaign-like rally for Republican congressman Mike Lawler, who is up for reelection in a tough swing district. The quarterback was the one to introduce the commander-in-chief before he took the stage.

While standing at the podium, the NFL player expressed how excited he was to welcome Trump, 79.

“What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here,” Dart said. “Without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”

While The View’s Whoopi Goldberg reminded viewers that he’s “entitled” to have his opinion, Sara Haines said the NFL player should be prepared for the consequences.

“We can all have our belief, I get that,” she said. “But there would be consequences. You’re the quarterback, which is a central player on the team.”

Sunny Hostin added, “This was a choice and it was a political one. We’re just not in normal times anymore.”

Although Alyssa Farah Griffin was quick to call the moment an example of freedom of speech, she understood why some people were not happy with the athlete’s decision.

“He has every right to endorse the president and his teammates have every right to criticize him for endorsing the president,” she said, “which is what ended up happening.”

New York Giants linebacker and fellow 2025 first-round pick Abdul Carter spoke out in a since-deleted X post writing, “Though this s*** was AI, what we doing man?”
