Keep reading to find out more…It has been announced that Pat will be reuniting with longtime friend Joe Moore, the KNON-TV Hawaii newscaster and actor, back on stage in a new take on the play Prescription: Murder, Variety reports.
Pat and Joe will star opposite each other in the play at The Hawaii Theatre in downtown Honolulu next summer, which is expected to run from July 31 to August 25, 2025. The Hawaii Theatre is expected to officially announce the news during a commercial break that will air during Pat‘s final Wheel of Fortune episode.
The 1962 mystery-thriller Prescription: Murder was written by William Link and Richard Levinson, who turned the play into the TV series Columbo.
In the Hawaii Theatre version, Pat will play “brilliant psychiatrist Roy Flemming, who hatches a plot with a perfect alibi to murder his neurotic and possessive wife.” Joe will play Lt. Columbo, “the seemingly bumbling detective who engages the psychiatrist in a cat-and-mouse battle of wits right up to the play’s surprising climax.”
The upcoming play will mark the ninth time Pat and Joe will share the stage, which begin in 1993′s Prophecy and Honor. The last time they appeared together on stage was in 2012′s The Odd Couple in Connecticut.
Vanna White recently shared an emotional farewell video message to Pat ahead of his final episode of Wheel of Fortune.
