One of Taylor’s biggest fans on the Chiefs is none other than head coach Andy Reid.
Not only has Andy spoken highly about Taylor as a person, calling her a “good girl” during an October 2023 appearance on “The Five Spot” podcast, but he even suggested having Taylor at games has improved Travis’ performance.
“Kelce is getting better with time. Taylor can stay around all she wants,” he said at the time.
As it turns out, Big Red had actually met Taylor before Travis did. “I knew her from Philadelphia. Her dad was a big NFL fan,” Andy explained on “The Five Spot,” adding that he met the singer and her dad when she was “real young.”
In November 2023, after Travis famously traveled to Argentina to visit Taylor on her Eras tour, Andy told journalist Tod Palmer, “I’m just glad he’s found somebody he likes and she’s found somebody she likes.”
“That’s a good thing,” he added.
During an interview with NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk, Andy’s story about Taylor baking some of the Chiefs players homemade Pop Tarts went viral.
“She didn’t give me one, and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one,” Andy joked during the February 27, 2024, interview. However, he added that Taylor’s baked goods offering was just another example of her “grounded” nature.
