Le Sserafim recently won on M Countdown, which includes an encore stage where idols since their song without backing. This has sparked a lot of debate over if the girls can actually sing or not, and if this is becoming the new standard for idol quality. Sakura in particular is singled out for her poor vocals, something which she even spoke about in their documentary, saying that she’s read a lot of people saying she can’t sing and that it was hurtful to know. People are even critical of Chaewon and Yunjin, who are known as the group’s strongest vocalists.
