Despite the religion controversy and celebrity look-a-likes, Lil Nas X’s new single (“J CHRIST”) struggled and debuted at no. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, this after it was predicted to debut at no. 72 initially.
It seems X and his team are scrambling due to the poor reception, because Lil Nas X has announced that his next single will drop next week.
“We made it to billboard! I don’t want yall to think i take this for granted! I appreciate you and adore you. New song next week!” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.
