Doja Cat doesn’t seem to know who Ella Langley is.
The 30-year-old rapper appeared on a new episode of Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley and he asked Doja a follow-up question to a Darth Vader versus an elevator joke.
“Did you think I was talkin about Ella Langley?” he asked. “Are you an Ella’s Fella?”
In response, the “Paint the Town Red” singer said, “I don’t know what that is.”
Thinking Doja might have been joking, Caleb followed up by asking her flat out if she liked Ella Langley.
“I don’t know what that is. Ella Langley? Ella Langley,” Doja replied.
Ella‘s song “Choosin’ Texas” is currently No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has remained there for 19 weeks. Her track actually broke a Billboard record previously held by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
Her song was one of five composing the first-ever Billboard Top 100 top 5 that was all country music, with additional songs by Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, Stella Lefty, and more.
Doja is about to embark on the North American leg of her Tour Ma Vie World Tour in Detroit on October 1.
Earlier this year, she made a showstopping appearance at a MAC Event in Paris, wearing a latex outfit with faux nipple piercings.
