Madison Beer has embarked on her latest world tour “The Locket Tour” and attended a Q&A in Krakow where she explained she makes music for the fans, not the charts.
“Honestly, if I’m known as the ‘never charting artist’, good. Thank god. Because I hope I can be inspirational to people,” she said. “You don’t need to be number one to feel successful, to feel happy.”
She insisted, “That’s really how I feel. It’s genuine.”
Beer went on to tell the audience that it really about them and she doesn’t care about the charts.
“What is the charts? Who gives a shit? I don’t give a shit. You all give a shit but this [gestures to audience] is where I can die happy,” Beer said. “Maybe I’m coping but it’s the truth.”
