Taylor Frankie Paul is speaking out after her already-filmed season of The Bachelorette was canceled.
Three days before the new season was set to premiere, ABC announced on Thursday (March 19) that they were pulling the 31-year-old Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star’s season after a 2023 video was published showing her throwing chairs at her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” ABC shared in a statement.
Following the announcement, Taylor released a statement through her rep.
Keep reading to find out more…“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” her rep told People. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
“There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives,” the statement continued. “Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”
Earlier this week, it was revealed that filming for season five of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been halted as Taylor and Dakota, 32, are both under investigation for domestic abuse following new allegations.
Taylor and Dakota have dated on and off from 2022 until 2024 and share 1-year-old son Ever. Taylor also shares daughter Indy and son Ocean with ex-husband Tate Paul.
