Earlier this week, production on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was paused due to a domestic assault investigation involving Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex Dakota Mortensen. Despite this, ABC continued promoting the new season of The Bachelorette starring Taylor. Their most recent post about the season premiere was posted on Instagram six hours ago.
This morning, several things happened:
* TMZ posted a video of a 2023 altercation between Taylor and Dakota
* Taylor canceled her scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon
* Dakota filed a restraining order against Taylor
After all that news broke, ABC finally announced that they were canceling her season of The Bachelorette.
The leaked video was recorded by Dakota and shows them mid-fight. [sensitive content]In the video, Taylor is seen throwing multiple chairs at him, one of which hit her 5 year old daughter. The police report for this incident says that her daughter was hit during the fight and had a goose egg on her head. Taylor took a plea bargain where she agreed to plead guilty to felony aggravated assault in exchange for the other four charges (including domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse, and criminal mischief) being dropped.
