Voting began today for the Oscar nominations, but given the catastrophic fires in Los Angeles right now, the Academy’s given their voting body a couple of extra days to get their votes in. As such, the Oscar nominations will be announced on Sunday of all days, at 8:30am EST/5:30am PST.
Said Academy CEO Bill Kramer: “We want to offer our deepest condolences to those who have been impacted by the devastating fires across Southern California. So many of our members and industry colleagues live and work in the Los Angeles area, and we are thinking of you.”
