Actor Carson Rowland did not return for Sweet Magnolias season five, and fans are speculating that he might have a role in a smash hit new series.
Why did Carson Rowland exit Sweet Magnolias on Netflix?
If you didn’t see the news, showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson confirmed the news last week.
She told Us Weekly that it was Carson‘s decision to leave the show.
“He had some other opportunities that I’m really excited for him about,” she said. “He’s a really, really good friend of mine, and so that’s something that’s really exciting for him and for all of us. We’re all still so supportive of him.”
Season five is set to debut on June 5 on Netflix.
Why do fans think Carson Rowland is joining Off Campus on Prime Video?
Fans noticed that Carson Rowland followed a few of the actors from Off Campus, Jalen Thomas Brooks and Antonio Cipriano, on Instagram. They both followed him back.
In addition, he followed Dean actor Stephen Kalyn.
This has led fans to speculate that he possibly booked an important role on the show.
The role of Jake Connelly in Elle Kennedy‘s book series has yet to be announced. In the books, Jake is the star hockey player on Harvard’s team, and many are starting to speculate that Carson could be perfect for the role.
Prime Video has not commented on these casting rumors at this time, and there’s no indication this is true as of right now.
