Dolly Parton‘s nephew has reportedly been fired from his role as head of security for her properties.

Bryan Seaver, the family member who announced her death at the age of 80 last month, is said to have been dismissed along with her security companies from every property owned by her estate.
As reported by TMZ, a termination notice was sent to Bryan last week, with replacement security installed at her home in Nashville, plus her museum, downtown home and warehouse.
Bryan and his team told the outlet they are “dismayed by the unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions” following Dolly’s death.
They added: “We remain unshakably resolved to fulfill her final directive to protect her family, and we refuse to be intimidated by those whose actions we believe are being taken in bad faith and with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much.”
The issue is said to be with Dolly’s longtime manager Danny Nozell and Pinnacle Bank.
The termination letter seen by the outlet lists the late country icon’s properties and professional business interests as being held by the DP Dean Trust.
Although Bryan has been relieved of his security duties, the move doesn’t change his personal interest in the trust.
Dolly’s passing was announced in a video message from her nephew and now former head of security, which was shared on her Instagram account on August 25.
Bryan said at the time: “My name is Bryan Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and I’m representing the Parton and Owens family today announcing the passing of my aunt, Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, Sister, Sis and Granny to one generation and Gigi to the next.
“This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully absorbed it as a future reality.
“As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now.
“It is an honour, an honour that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly. Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus, surely met by Carl, her parents and countless others who have watched her and longed to meet her in the heavens.”
Three days after her death, Dolly’s family gathered for an intimate funeral at Nashville’s Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum, where she rests beside her husband Carl Dean, who died in March 2025 aged 82.
