Sydney Sweeney’s boyfriend Scooter Braun has opened up about their romance
The Housemaid star celebrated her big day on September 12 and her boyfriend marked the occasion by posting a video showing the couple dancing outside a castle admitting the actress “surprised him” and describing her as “the exception to every rule”.
In a caption on Instagram, Scooter, 45, wrote: “Happy birthday to the woman who is the exception to every rule. The person who surprised me and showed me how life with true partnership can be lived.
“You make me smile harder, laugh louder, adventure more, and dream bigger. You’ve made the ordinary feel exciting and the future feel like something I can’t wait to get to.”
He added: “A giggle can change an entire day. And I love how corny we can be together, because nothing else matters. There are a million things I could say, but the ones that matter most are just for you.
“Happy birthday Syd. Many more celebrations ahead. I love you.”
The tribute comes amid reports the relationship has turned serious since the pair first started dating last year. New York Post column PageSix reports Scooter is planning a proposal and it could happen within the next six months.
A source told the publication: “He thinks she is the modern Marilyn Monroe. He is trying very hard to marry her. He is following her and chartering private planes. He’s going to stay focused on her until she marries him.
The couple has been together since since September 2025 and Sydney previously opened up about their love affair in a social media post to mark her boyfriend’s birthday in June – crediting him with making her “smile again”.
She wrote: “Happiest of birthdays to the man with the biggest heart I know … thank you for all the living room dances and making me smile again. A good man is rare. A man like you is once in a lifetime.”
The businessman – who has three children with ex-wife Yael Cohen – also appeared to praise Sydney as “extraordinary” during a previous appearance on Suzy Weiss’ Second Thought podcast.
Without mentioning the actress by name, he said: “I’ve met an extraordinary woman, kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth – and one of the biggest surprises ever.” S
cooter also tuned into the latest season of Euphoria to catch a glimpse of his girlfriend.
Asked if he has seen the new episodes of the show, he said: “I am catching it. I’m biased, I like it. I think there’s been an incredible performance by a certain actress.”
