Rob Reiner just won an award nearly nine months after his tragic death.
The late actor and filmmaker picked up the win for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on The Bear, during night two of the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 6).
This also marks his first Emmy win in almost 50 years, with his last being for All in the Family in 1978. He also won in 1974 for that same role.
Speaking of All in the Family, Rob hit the stage at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards for a little reunion with Sally Struthers during the ceremony, which celebrated several different shows from the past.
At Sunday night’s Creative Arts Emmys, Rob‘s award was presented by Wendi McLendon-Covey, who accepted it on behalf of the late star.
“We all wish he was here,” she said on stage, per Deadline, followed by a standing ovation for Rob.
According to Deadline, the camera also panned to Jamie Lee Curtis in the audience, who was also nominated for her work on The Bear. She was credited by the late actor with encouraging him to take on the role.
If you recall, Rob and Jamie Lee previously played exes and the parents of Zooey Deschanel‘s Jessica Day on New Girl.
