Mariska Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann, are celebrating!!
The 62-year-old actress and the 59-year-old actor stepped out for night one of the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday evening (September 5) at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Mariska was up for two awards that night, for her documentary, My Mom Jayne, and she won both!
What awards did Mariska Hargitay win at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards?
Mariska picked up the awards for Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction program and Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special, the latter of which she won as a producer.
My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay was also up for Outstanding Cinematography for a Nonfiction Program for Tony Hardmon, but unfortunately lost out to Ocean with David Attenborough for Doug Anderson and Toby Strong.
What Mariska has said about her nominations and wins
After her two big wins, Mariska took to Instagram to share a photo of herself gleefully holding up her trophies, captioning it, “This happened…”
When the nominations were announced in early July, Mariska expressed her gratitude for the recognition of her work on the documentary about her late mother, Jayne Mansfield.
“I’m thrilled and deeply moved by these nominations. It’s an emotional moment, because what feels most natural to say is ‘On behalf of my mom and myself, thank you,’” she said, via People. “I’m profoundly grateful to have this moment with her.”
“My gratitude also extends to my producer, the truly formidable Trish Adlesic, our nominated cinematographer, Tony Hardmon, and the rest of my extraordinary team who shepherded this film into reality,” she added.
Following her two wins, Mariska is also set to host the upcoming 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony.
The Law & Order: SVU actress will take to the stage to helm the annual awards show, which airs live on NBC and Peacock on Monday, September 14. Check out the full list of nominations here!

If you missed it, Mariska recently shared that she thought she was getting fired when she got the call to host the show!
These aren’t the first Emmy wins for Mariska. She previously won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Law & Order: SVU back in 2006, as well as for Best Documentary for I Am Evidence in 2017.
