People confirmed on Wednesday (September 2) that Lionel is now back home in Los Angeles and is “doing great,” after he was expected to fly home that day.

    What happened to Lionel Richie?

During his Saturday night concert, Lionel reportedly needed to sit down for his final song, “All Night Long.” His team brought him a chair on stage after he appeared to be struggling, according to TMZ.

Thankfully Lionel will have some time to recover before he heads back on the road because his website lists his next show as September 26.

Back in June, Lionel was hospitalized after he got sick on stage at another show. He told the crowd at that performance that he was feeling “dizzy” while performing and he had to sit down. He was reportedly met with paramedics backstage and taken by ambulance to a hospital as a precautionary measure.

“When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your ass down,” he joked at the time, while saying he had never performed “Dancing on the Ceiling” while sitting down before.
