Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are hitting the red carpet with their son!
The famous couple joined their son Travis Bacon and his girlfriend Angelina Sambrotto at Scary Movies XIV on Wednesday (August 19) held at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.
The family was in attendance at the event to promote their new horror comedy movie Family Movie, which also stars the couple’s daughter Sosie Bacon.
Based on a screenplay by Dan Beers, the movie “follows an eclectic but tight-knit family of filmmakers who suddenly find themselves in a real-life horror movie when a body turns up on the set of their latest low-budget slasher. As the production spirals comically out of control, they realize the only solution to keep filming is to cover up the murder, by any means necessary,” according to Variety.
Along with starring in the movie with their kids, Kevin and Kyra also directed it. All four serve as producers.
“The entire process of making Family Movie has been a true labor of love and after seeing the audience reactions at multiple film festivals around the world, we knew this movie had to be experienced in the theater,” Kevin and Kyra told Deadline. “While we considered traditional distribution options, we decided to put our faith in our film, the audience, and the evolving landscape of independent film and go straight to the theaters with this fun crowd pleaser.”
Family Movie will be released through Variance on April 23, 2027.
