Bella Thorne is also directing and writing the #SpringBreakers sequel she’s starring in.

The film was announced in May 2025 and stars Grace Van Dien, Ariel Martin, and True Whitaker. At the time, Thorne wasn’t attached to the project, but was asked to join after producers saw an early cut of her film “Color Your Hurt.”
Thorne is making her directorial debut this fall with “Color Your Hurt,” a coming-of-age thriller that follows a young gay man seeking acceptance in a hostile community.
She calls the 2012 Spring Breakers “exploitive” and “everyone was going through it.”
She says this sequel will have “so much litness” and will be a fun watch for all.
