Carson Daly has hosted the NBC singing competition series The Voice for all 29 seasons so far, as well as the upcoming 30th season in Fall 2026, but he won’t be back for season 31 in the spring.
The 53-year-old TV personality’s departure from the show has been rumored for the past week and it was just confirmed with NBC’s announcement of the upcoming celebrity season.
Sources recently revealed the reason behind Carson‘s exit from the show.
“He wasn’t able to make the upcoming season’s schedule work with his Today Show schedule. So his Today workload mixed with not wanting to be away from family this next year made him say ‘no’ to hosting 31,” the source told The Sun.
The insider says Carson has the option of returning for season 32.
“He remains an executive producer on it and the door is open if he wants to return for Season 32,” the source added.
Keke Palmer is going to be the new host of the show for The Voice‘s first-ever celebrity season, airing in spring 2027.
“Keke has blown producers away with her charisma and talent. She gets along great with both the coaches and the contestants,” a source told The Sun. “She is a total natural and has killed it so far, so if she wants a bigger role in the future, the door will remain open.”
