In a follow-up to this post, author Tomi Adeyemi has again denounced the upcoming film adaptation of her book Children of Blood and Bone. Adeyemi said the experience was “the worst thing [she’d] ever lived through” and shared she left the set “hyperventilating and sobbing.” She said she wouldn’t go into detail about what occurred and was only posting the video to share that she didn’t want to discuss the project at all as she prepares to promote her new book.
Adeyemi reiterated that she plans to never watch the adaptation. She previously posted and deleted screenshots of herself telling Amandla Stenberg, who has a role in the movie, to never contact her or use her name again.
