Charlize Theron steps out in a black mini dress for her annual Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Block Party on Saturday night (September 19) at Universal Studios Backlot in Los Angeles, Calif.
The 51-year-old actress hosted the sixth annual fundraising event this weekend, benefiting her foundation, which aids young people in her home country of South Africa.
If you don’t know, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project supports “transformative, locally-led change by partnering with community-based organizations that support young people, their sexual and reproductive health and rights, and gender-based violence prevention.”
Charlize started the foundation in 2007, and since then, it has awarded over $15.8 million in grants, reached over 4.8 million young people with its supported programs, and nearly 77% of organizations that have supported the foundation have received flexible, multi-year grants, according to its website.
At this year’s event, Charlize got the support of several celebrities, including her longtime friend January Jones.
Also in attendance were Skye P Marshall, Baywatch‘s Thaddeus LaGrone, RHOSLC‘s Heather Gay and her boyfriend Tripp, Natalie Martinez, Terrell Carter, Theo Bongani Ndyalvane, Thando Dlomo, Jeannie Mai, Natasha Lyonne, and Carolyn Michelle Smith.
The night also featured a performance by Kid Cudi!
