J.K. Simmons and Tom Holland have both appeared in two Spider-Man movies together, but they have never met!

The Oscar-winning actor discussed the surprising fact during a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

“I have not met Tom Holland,” J.K. revealed before adding, “Delightful guy, I’m told.”

J.K. is, of course, best known to Marvel fans for playing Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson, who frequently attacked Spider-Man’s reputation while hiring Peter Parker to provide photographs of the masked superhero in Tobey Maguire‘s original trilogy.

He unexpectedly returned to the role during the mid-credits scene of Tom‘s 2019 movie Spider-Man: Far From Home. His character appeared again in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, but the two actors apparently still never crossed paths.

Tom will next return as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which arrives in theaters on July 31, 2026. Tickets for the movie are currently on sale.

The upcoming movie is already generating enormous interest with the trailer surpassing 1 billion views in four days, setting a new movie-trailer viewing record!

Tom also recently revealed his top choice for the next Spider-Man if he ever has the opportunity to pass the role on to another young actor.
