Daveigh Chase‘s cause of death has been confirmed after her sudden death at the age of 35.
If you don’t know, earlier this month, it was confirmed that The Ring actress passed away after being in the hospital.
Daveigh was widely recognized for her portrayal of Samara Morgan in The Ring, as well as for lending her voice to Lilo in Lilo & Stitch and Chihiro in the English-language version of Spirited Away. She also appeared as Samantha Darko in Donnie Darko. Among her career achievements, Daveigh won a Young Artist Award for Lilo & Stitch.
Daveigh Chase’s cause of death was confirmed by the medical examiner
In new records from the Los Angeles medical examiner, we now her cause of death.
Daveigh passed away from “acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) with other significant conditions included chronic polysubstance use,” per Us Weekly. Polysubstance use is “using more than one substance and following a pattern of use that affects your health and quality of life.”
Daveigh Chase’s former manager made some claims after her passing
In response to reports that had emerged, her former manager released a lengthy statement. He made several claims against the man who identified himself as Daveigh‘s boyfriend.
