“Aquamarine” is getting a series adaptation, with Disney+ and Disney Channel officially ordering a pilot.
Emma Roberts, who starred in the original movie, will guest star as Claire Brown and is also on board as an executive producer.

Emma Roberts will executive produce + guest star, with Sarah Watson set to write + Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum returning set to direct. Both will also executive produce.
Disney has also attempted to reboot other film properties, such as Holes and Witch Mountain as TV series.
