He and wife Ashley were excited to be first time parents and were documenting the pregnancy
After in-vitro screenings and tests they received a down syndrome (Trisomy 21) diagnosis for the fetus
First they were “shocked but optimistic” but after speaking to more experts about the realties of having a child with Trisomy 21 they decided to terminate the pregnancy
“The choice was not made lightly. We are devastated. This has been extremely traumatic for both of us, especially Ashley.”
Healtline states that 67% of Trisomy 21 pregnancies are terminated in the US, 77% in France and 98% in Denmark
