Lady Gaga makes a cameo appearance as herself in the movie The Devil Wears Prada 2 and she performs her new original song “Shape of a Woman” in the film.
Gaga gets a call from Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), asking for a favor to perform at Runway Magazine’s event during Milan Fashion Week. Despite their personal feud, Gaga comes through because Nigel (Stanley Tucci) tells her that she’ll never get another Runway cover again if she doesn’t do the performance as a favor.

Not only did Gaga record “Shape of a Woman” for the movie, she also provided two other original songs – “Runway” featuring Doechii and the power ballad “Glamorous Life.” Both of those songs can be heard in the credits.
The lyrics for the first verse read, “Like an old desire that you know too well (Back to eat you alive) / Feedin’ on the torture rollercoaster’s hell (Visions conquer your mind) / Melting in the heat of another lover (Stomp out, you’re out of time) / Spinnin’ ’round in circles ’cause she rung your bell (Your bell, your bell).”
Gaga sings in the chorus, “Shape of a woman (Woman) / Shape of a wo-woman / See the violet in her eyes, body so ethereal / See me to my grave ’cause I found God (Found God) / In the shape of a woman.”
