Ian Somerhalder attended the Beverage Forum (a forum for beverages) and revealed that he was once in millions of dollars of debt. It came about after he made personal guarantees for a clean energy startup. “I left an insanely lucrative career in television after financial upheaval from building a business that I didn’t build properly,” he says. “And due to fraud, it put my wife and I into an eight-figure hole.”
He credits wife Nikki Reed with helping him get out of it. Still, he says they sold “everything,” including “houses, paintings, cars, watches.”
