The Pitt star Isa Briones shared in a recent interview that she auditioned for what became Olivia Rodrigo’s role in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. She also mentioned that she watched Rodrigo meet her future costar Joshua Bassett in the audition room. Rodrigo left the show after its third season, when her breakout single “Driver’s License” (inspired by Bassett) launched her pop career. Perhaps there’s an alternate timeline out there where Rodrigo is playing a med student on The Pitt and Briones is a pop star.
