One-hour Halloween and Christmas (“Ghostmas”) specials are set to air in the fall.
CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach has explained the decision to delay Ghosts after fans expected it to air back-to-back with Eternally Yours, a new series from the same executive producers. Instead, the new show will air on Thursday nights at 8:30pm, directly following Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
“I know everyone made that assumption,” Reisenbach told Variety. “But Georgie and Mandy is the number one comedy on broadcast. It’s a show about family. Eternally Yours is also a show about family. We want to give our new shows the best launch pad possible. And we think this is going to be a really formidable pairing. And that was really where that decision came from.”
