In 2009, actor Eric Stonestreet landed his life-changing role as Cameron Tucker in Modern Family. However, around the same time, he was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes — a health issue that he admittedly “didn’t take very seriously,” Eric told People in May 2025.
Ashamed of his diagnosis, Eric kept his diabetes a secret for years and didn’t do much to treat it. Then, in 2022, he began taking the weekly injection Mounjaro, which he said was a “game changer.” Eric lost a “substantial amount” of weight after the drug helped change the way he eats and exercises. “It feels good,” he said of his slimmer figure.
