Hanni announced that she will testify to the country’s National Assembly in a hearing about bullying in the music industry.
Apparently she made the decision without telling her managers or her record label, Ador.
“I believe going forward is the right thing to do, no matter how much I think about it,” she wrote to fans on social media.
This follows NJ’s livestream about mistreatment because an ILLIT manager told ILLIT not to greet them after ILLIT greeted New Jeans in the building.
The incident caught the attention of South Korea’s Environment and Labour Committee, who have summoned both Hanni and Kim Joo-Young to testify to an audit on workplace harassment later this month.
This has gotten to such a ridiculous point and now apparently a politician is implying that Illit are the bullies. I’m kind of over this mess but feel very bad for Illit because they’ve been torn apart since debut. I feel like they have no one in their corner and weirdly enough a lot of the drama seems to come out when they have a comeback. Hopefully Hanni has more legitimate things to say about mistreatment that aren’t related to this specific event but I feel like this is all a huge nothing burger tbh.
