Daniel Sancho, 29-year old son of actor Rodolfo Sancho, who is a chef and worked for a high end catering company in Madrid, was vacationing with 45-year old Colombian plastic surgeon, Edwin Arrieta, in Koh Phangan, Thailand, to enjoy the famed full moon parties.
During the weekend, human remains in fertilizer bags were found, later identified as Edwin. Following this, Daniel was detained in the neighboring island of Koh Samui, confessing to the crime, attributing it to jealousy issues, claiming that while he is guilty, he was a hostage to Edwin, with the surgeon forcing him to do things he didn’t felt comfortable with and that Edwin would isolate him from other people and “kept him in a crystal cage”.
The pair allegedly had a 1-year old relationship but Daniel is denying they were actually a couple, Spanish and Thai media are speculating on the motive and exact nature of relationship they had that could have contributed with the death of the Colombian doctor.
