The Kardashians star released a joint statement to the Associated Press with stylist Simone Harouche on Tuesday (September 15), in which she explained her choice to choose only €1.
“The experience was deeply traumatic, and its impact has stayed with us. Today’s decision is not about the compensation, but about accountability and recognition,” they said. “We are thankful to the Court and everyone who supported us throughout this process, and we hope to now move forward and continue to heal.”
Additional damages were rewarded to other individuals involved, like a former receptionist at the hotel Kim had been staying at when she was targeted.
What happened during the 2016 Paris robbery?
During the 2016 Paris robbery, Kim was restrained and held at gunpoint at a private residence during Paris Fashion Week. The perpetrators stole jewelry worth millions, including her engagement ring.
Earlier this month, Kim was spotted at her daughter North West‘s concert and her ex-husband Kanye West was also in attendance.
