Ella Langley has cemented her place in music history.
The country singer, 27, now has the longest run at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a non-holiday song after reaching 20 weeks at the top of the chart with “Choosin’ Texas.”
Last week, Ella tied Shaboozey‘s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Lil Nas X ft. Billy Ray Cyrus‘ “Old Town Road” for the most weeks at number one for a non-holiday song with 19 weeks.
Mariah Carey still holds the record for most weeks at the top of the chart for any song, with 22 weeks at number one for “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Her feat was achieved across a span of many years, notching a few weeks at #1 every year since 2019.
Mariah has a good shot at extending her #1 streak once the holiday season rolls around again.

The Kalshi betting market is forecasting that Ella has a 92% chance of reaching at least 26 weeks at number one with this song, which would give her the longest-run of any song ever.
At the time of this article being published, there’s also an 75% chance that she reaches 27 weeks at number one.
Ella‘s songs “I Can’t Love You Anymore” with Morgan Wallen and “Be Her” have spent many weeks in the Top 10 of the chart.
