Harry Styles unexpectedly gave Taylor Swift a shoutout during the Saturday night (August 29) show of his Madison Square Garden residency!
During the tail end of the concert, which marked his third concert in his planned 30-show NYC run, Harry started talking about the venue and paid homage to several recent events.
“We’re at Madison Square Garden, home of the world champion New York Knicks!” Harry announced, according to video footage shared by DeuxMoi, “And they also do weddings.”
Harry didn’t elaborate beyond the brief mention, but fans immediately reacted to the unexpected acknowledgment of his famous ex.

Why Madison Square Garden is notable
Taylor married Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden on July 3. Harry was reportedly invited but couldn’t attend because he was performing in London that night.
His fiancée, Zoe Kravitz, attended the wedding. She and Taylor are longtime friends.
Harry performed “Two Ghosts” during his own concert that day, which fans connected to Taylor, but there was no confirmation that the song choice was deliberately timed to her wedding.
Harry and Taylor’s history
Harry and Taylor briefly dated from late 2012 to early 2013. Several songs have been connected to their romance over the years, but the exes appear to be on friendly terms.
Taylor applauded Harry‘s Grammy win in 2021, and they were photographed catching up at the 2021 and 2023 ceremonies.
The “Watermelon Sugar” singer launched his 30-show Together, Together MSG residency on August 26.
The concerts are his only United States shows of 2026. he will perform every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday though the October 31 “Harryween” finale. Jamie xx is opening the current shows.
